R01 BOALAR LIGHT – INITIATION TO THE TRAILS
A circular MTB route from Jaca that starts at the San Miguel bridge, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, and continues along a path (watch out for hikers!) until you cross the River Aragón over a unique wooden footbridge. This is a technically simple trail for cyclists, but it can get muddy in a small stretch near the river during the rainy season. You then continue along the Camino de Santiago and cycle through beautiful scenery along the banks of the Aragón River until you reach the area of Monte Boalar and Punta Batosa.
You then climb up a simple track to the top of the mountain and start the only descent on a path. This is a very enjoyable descent with little difficulty, except at the beginning, where there is a slightly more complicated stretch. Then, after about 300 metres of tarmac, you reach the Torre del Moro picnic area and continue again along the Camino de Santiago until you reach Jaca, paying close attention when you cross the main road.
