R11 THE EXPRESS
Circular MTB route from Jaca that runs through the southwest area of Jaca, with views of the Peña Oroel at almost all times. It is a short but intense route, which requires a certain technical level and combines tracks, some road and trails of all kinds both uphill and downhill.
You leave Jaca towards the village of Barós and there we will enter a beautiful pine and boxwood forest along the PR-Barós trail that takes you to the road to the Parador de Oroel.
From there you descend along the Calzadas trail. A legendary route well known by local MTB riders, as it involves steps, roots, a natural stone wallride, diverse vegetation and humidity and, although it is not very long, it will make the biker sweat, forcing them to use the best of their skills.
You reach the A-1205 road, which goes from Jaca to the Oroel pass, and you continue climbing with stretches of road interspersed with sections of trails and tracks before starting the final descent along an entertaining trail through a forest that will take you to Atarés. You have to be extremely cautious, since you pick up a lot of speed in this section and the terrain is usually wet.
You return to Jaca along the Camino de Santiago.
