R06 NORTH VALLEY V1 – HUMERA EN BERGOSA
Circular MTB route from Jaca that runs along Mount Rapitán and then takes you to the uninhabited village of Bergosa, an exceptional vantage point overlooking the Aragón valley.
You climb Rapitán by path and then descend along a short but intense stony path until you reach the hardest part of the route: a long climb along a track with steep slopes that will take you to the Albarín pass. From there, you take an entertaining 2.5 km path with views of the Jaca forest.
Once in Bergosa you can take a break and meditate – the place asks for it – or you can continue along the route between the previous path and the one descending into Castiello: a little more technical, but in general more accessible.
You reach the confluence of the River Ijuez with the River Aragón and from here you will start the return journey along the banks of the River Aragón and the Camino de Santiago (beware of hikers). At the end you climb towards the village of Asieso and, passing through the loams, you cross the River Aragón over the old bridge of San Miguel.
