R08 LA LOBERA DE OROEL

Circular MTB route connecting the villages of Barós, Ulle and Navasa through forests and forest tracks.

The route starts in Barós with a climb up a steep (and at times somewhat technical) path through a pine forest to the road to the Parador de Orel.

Once at the top, and after getting your breath back, you take the La Ártica path, which slopes gradually and gently down to the Ulle ravine: a continuous succession of bends interspersed with natural tunnels, fords across small tributaries and even a bit of pedalling. A comprehensive, entertaining and technically intermediate level trail.

A stretch of tarmac takes you back into the forest on the north face of the Oroel, where you take an ascending path leading to the Cajicar of Mount Santa Eulalia. Here, you will enjoy an up and down stretch until you start the descent along the Es Pasue path, known by local cyclists as the XC track, which will take you back to the Ulle ravine.

All that remains is a climb along a path through a leafy forest to the Parador road, where you continue for two kilometres until you reach the last descent: the Cerradón path. A fast path with few difficulties.
