R02 SIERRA DE JACA TRAIL

Circular MTB route from Jaca with a high percentage of uphill and downhill trails. Only the strongest riders will be able to complete the first trail that climbs up to Fuenfría as far as the Fontazones estate, taking you to the top of the Oroel pass.

From there, you continue along a track until you join the long and beautiful Pereretas path on Mount Sesún, which takes you to the La Predicadera viewpoint, a must for taking photos, taking a deep breath and enjoying the breathtaking 360-degree views.

Here the more daring will put on their gloves and helmets to enjoy a fast descent with natural inclines to the ruins of the Torre del Moro, a site of scenic and cultural interest. The descent ends at the picnic area next to the Camino de Santiago.

The second ascent by path is easier and more straightforward and takes you to Punta Batosa with beautiful views of the area of San Juan de la Peña. The descent is on one of the most popular trails among local cyclists, mostly easy, very smooth and with natural inclines that will make you want to repeat the ride.

It is an MTB route recommended for enduro lovers due to the smoothness of its two descents, but it can be done by any cyclist without much technical preparation, although you do need to be in good physical shape, as the climbs on the trail are hard. It is also highly recommended for E-bikes.
